I believe I found your book called "Visualize This: The Flowing Data Guide to Design, Visualization, and Statistics" published by Wiley, but they have no mention of it on their site. Is this book going to be published, and if so is there a table of contents available before I pre-order it?

Yep, it'll be published. It's due out in July of this year, and I'm working on it now. The table of contents can still change, but in a nutshell, it'll be a focus on data and using visualization as a way to tell stories with that data. I'll work through various data types (e.g. time, spatial, proportions) and go through many examples with several tools including R, Illustrator, JavaScript (e.g. Protovis), and Flash (e.g. Modest Maps).
Sounds great! I've made a few charts before but not with those tools so I'm sure I'd learn a lot from your book. I'm looking forward to getting it!
