Using Database to Store the Information of A Person's Life

Started 2 years ago by lifetracer / 4 posts

  1. I'm a student learning database, and I'm working on developping a web application that can be used to trace person's life. But I'm facing a big problem. I don't know how to use database to store the needed information of a person's life that will be used for visualization later.

    Looking forward to your help!

  2. I'm not sure what you're looking for, but it sounds like you might need to learn about databases in general. MySQL is a good place to start.

  3. I think lifetracer ask for fields (tips) to store in database.

    Eg.: First Name,Last Name,Date of Birth,etc...

  4. See this video for a practical solution for your problem: http://vimeo.com/6285582 (sorry, only german)

You see how biographical details of all of the members of the Bauhaus, as well as their individual personal relationships with other members, will be systematically structured and entered into an online research database. This database is specially developed for visualization.
