Watching the 2010 Vancouver Olympic opening ceremonies I thought it may be interesting to look at the number of athletes countries have in the olympics and what the country population is. There are several more factors that could be included here that are readily available. I started with including the average latitude of the country. This was created using Tableau public.
Try this, but vs. GDP or per capita GDP. I'll bet there is a much higher correlation.
