Hello,
I have a lot of daily measurement data, which is nicely plotted by yfd in a scatterplot with a linear approximation line. This is great. Except now it's the new year and I can't see my old data along with my current data!!! I want to be able to view the last 365 days (or 180 or whatever) of data at any time during the year. I do not not not want to start afresh with only two data points, effectively eliminating the old data as far as the plot and linear approximation are concerned. It's like you've relegated all my hard work over time to the trashbin of "previous year", and I have to go open it to see it, and can't use it as part of my ongoing projects. For example, suppose I were trying to lose weight gradually over time, and suppose I was doing well in 2009, but the new 2010 regression line, with all its small data set noise makes it look like a disaster and doesn't incorporate my long term progress. Please, please, please include a display option such as "past 365/270/180/90 days/6 months/3months" or some such (eg alongside the "Previous year" button). I bet some people will want this option not only for measurement data but also for event data, where the current display is little filled in boxes on a month by month calendar, in which case a 'last 12/6/3 months" option would probably be more practical.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to the new year of yfd-ing!

hey stan, a way to select a custom time span (i.e. start and end date) is coming so that you'll be able to see that data all at once. i was working on the feature before the holiday season, and then took a break for all the food and family, and what not :).
anyways, it's coming. i'll keep you updated here.

Fantastic, thanks so much! Glad to hear you took a break for the holidays. Happy new year!

A bit delayed, but this is in. You can select the start and end dates now.

The new date filtering system is fantastic. Thanks Nathan.
