Hi, I'm Paolo. I’m a bioinformatician and an R enthusiast (check my blog for simple tips regarding R and visualization). Apart from science, I’m interested in SF in all its forms and I have a collection of comics of all kinds and genre which I'm quite proud of.
I love my cat Tristan (thanks Neil for the inspiration!).

Hi
My name is Andreas. I am a Danish freelance consultant doing organisational surveys. I spend way too much time on data-viz' and the like. However - my main interest is no nonsens graphics. I mostly use R.If I win - i'll forget my statistical cynicism and start spending money on the lottery.

Hi my name is Martha and I've spent 30 years in database marekting and it's inevitable move into business intelligence to drive marketing ROI. We use data visualization to help our clients understand their customers and their markets. I'm a strategist, not a statistician or IT professional, so I need to explain things in words and pictures. I live in Upstate NY and thankfully love a snowy day. I'll link to here from Twitter and post the poster in our offices.

Hello! First time poster, long time listener.
I'm John W. Palmer - you can get a hold of me at @jwpalmer or via e-mail (first and middle initials and full last name at gmail dot com) if you ever want to talk info design, or great design in general.
I work as a jack (john) of all trades (UX design, Digital Strategy, etc.) at a digital boutique called MediaSauce in the midwest. We're small, but mighty.
I've got a small infodesign gallery going at home, so this would go up on the "wall of fame," as it were. I've been known to have small groups of guests at parties I host to inquire at end about each piece, so I'd love to be able to share this.
Also, my favorite kind of cheese is aged swiss. Glad to be here!

Hey there,
I'm Kyra, a UI/UX designer for projekt202 in Austin, TX. I've been enjoying your feed for some time. I do a lot of application design with data visualization, and our team gets plenty of inspiration here. Thanks for your work in showcasing the latest infoviz. The poster would go up in my home office, beside some crowd-sourced Obama media and pics of my nephew who looks like Barack when he was about 12.

Hola! Me llamo Robin. I am currently living in Washington, DC working at an international development company as an intern. What this really means is that I mostly do bitch work, but occasionally I get to translate (see Spanish, above) or do some research. I studied geography and GIS in college, becoming very interested in cartography due to its combination of quantitative data being visualized in a very subjective way. Thus - my interest in this blog.
I play ultimate frisbee for fun - not because I'm terribly good at it, but rather because I love the challenge. I also love exploring this city that recently became home. I would be traveling in Latin America right now, if I could.
If I win this poster, I would give it to my father. In high school, he was admonished for having black friends by the other white kids at school. In college and grad school, he was one of the few whites who walked in Civil Rights marches. At 57, he worked tirelessly for the Obama campaign for months and months and months. He did this in the state of Georgia, where no one thought he had a chance of winning. Yet, my father always kept a positive attitude, and insisted that Obama stood a chance in this extremely red state. My father taught me the values of determination and hope, values that the African American community has championed, and Barack Obama has exemplified. I cannot imagine a greater way to honor him than to give him this poster.

Okay, I'm Liane, I used to be a video editor and still love to do graphic design, both static and motion. I quit my job to start a non-profit to advocate for juvenile justice reform. I'm interested in visualizing information for advocacy.
Love certain shades of blue, magenta, peanut butter, the number 25. I'm going to be sharing some office space with a legal aid and immigrant rights group. If I win, I'll put the poster there.

Howdy.
Name's Bill, and I'm a website editor at the moment, who has done tech consulting for nonprofits, political consulting for for-profits, and a lot of writing for myself.
I'd love to see visualization liberate opaque government budget numbers and allow ordinary people real insight into how their money is being spent. That being said, I love the range of topic FD covers.
