A couple of years ago I took this meticulous data over 2 months on craigslist "erotic encounters" in NYC. I've got about 1000 rows which I intended on doing something with like writing a funny article (it was around the time that it was appearing in the news a lot for a variety of reasons). It has some statistical flaws, namely that people may have reposted over and over again changing the text slightly, but there is still a lot of it.
The more I learn about visualizations the more I realize that creating visualizations of my own is probably beyond the scope of something I could do "on the side", but I do feel bad that this data is remaining unused! I thought I'd reach out and see if it peaks anyone's interest and they want to work together on this. I don't know that it would be suitable for a stats project (although perhaps if you're aware of the flaws in the data, it would be ok? I'm not a statistician), but it might be good for a visualizing data project....
