I'd like to use yfd on a protected account. That is, anyone who wants to follow me must submit a request which I can then approve. I hoped that whatever automated feature that would cause yfd to follow back would thus generate such a request which I could then approve, but as yet, no request has appeared. I started following @yfd a couple hours ago, so I figured the request would appear by now. Is there anything I can do to make this work (short of turning off the privacy on my account)? Thanks in advance!

Hi

I'm going to release a new visualization about the top twitter influencers for a given topic (hashtag). To show both the global influence, the influence on a given topic and the specialization of the user, while keeping the data easy to read, I'm trying to use a bubble graph.

I'd like to get opinions and suggestions about this new visualization; it is still in closed beta, but if anybody was interested in taking a look he/she can write to me @danmaz74 on twitter.

Bye

Background on SocialFlow
SocialFlow is a tool that helps content publishers (e.g. The
Economist, AOL) manage, optimize and measure their online social
presence, primarily on Twitter. SocialFlow is a part of Betaworks
(www.betaworks.com), a prominent New York tech company that invests in

We have a system that:
retrieves content from our publishers
ranks this content by potential performance based on expected clicks,
retweets, mentions, and increase in followers
sends out the highest ranked content at the optimal time (in the form
of a tweet, facebook status message, etc.)
measures the performance of these messages, and attempts to improve on
this optimization over time
provides an interface for publishers to visualize their message
performance

Ideal candidates for SocialFlow will have some of the relevant skill
set and are passionate about social media and networking.

We are looking for a Javascript Engineer to help:
- improve and develop data visualizations and reporting on the site
- provide a consistent feel for all parts of the site
- build interactive applications for publishers interfacing with the
site

Relevant Skills
- Data Visualization: Experience with charting libraries
(flot,amCharts etc).
- Frameworks, Formats: JQuery, JSON
- 3rd party integrations: (Twitter, Facebook, Google Analytics, etc)

Competitive salary, great benefits.

Pretty darn cool. The grabbed data from the Twitter Search API for tweets that included "just landed in..." and then took the previous location has the Twitter user's entered profile location. Mapped it out for animated travels. Simple idea. Interesting results.
